Meet Princess

Kerbeck Night Princess

Sire: Firequest Of Kerbeck, Dam: Kerbeck Night Mystery.

Black mare Foaled 1997.

I have owned Princess since Autumn/Winter 2004, when she was purchased as a just broken in ex-brood mare. Princess is a daughter of my first pony Mystery, and I also used to look after her sire Quest sometimes so I thought I would get on well with her. Princess has bred four foals so far (for the Kerbeck stud). The oldest of her progeny (Gypsy) has produced two foals, a filly in 2005 and a colt in 2006; making Princess a 'grand mother'.

Princess' progeny to date:-

2001:- Kerbeck Night Gypsy, black filly. (Sire Peepings Enterprise). 2002:- Kerbeck Night Solitaire, black filly. (Sire Townend Huey). 2003:- Kerbeck Night Belle, black filly. (Sire Townend Huey). 2004:- Kerbeck Romany's Fire, black gelding. (Sire Townend Huey).

Princess is a sensible and trustworthy pony, who enjoys her work and is a fun comfortable ride. She is very affectionate and enjoys a good groom. Princess also loves jumping, and has shown talent in this sphere. I have competed her lightly so far, with some good results. (Please see the results page.) I hope to get Princess out to a few shows in 2009, if time and transport allows! Princess has been enjoying a break from breeding since 2004, but this year ran with Townend Huey so she will hopefully produce a nice foal in 2009. This is especially important as Townend Huey has been exported to the Czech Republic.

Princess has some well-known names in her pedigree, including:- Lunesdale Jerry, Townend Flash II (9 times supreme champion of the FPS stallion show), Waverhead Rambler, Albert Moore, Mountain Flash II; and also the Townend Polly and Sleddale Dainty mare lines. Princess also has the more unusual 'Birkett Bank' bloodlines. Princess' full pedigree can be viewed here:- www.allbreedpedigree.com/kerbeck+night+princess

I have lots of fun with Princess, more than I could have imagined and I could not part with her now! Princess is a pony in a million, she loves to work and is an absolute joy to care for. She knows what I am going to do before I do it, and has got me out of a few sticky situations because of this!
