Black mare foaled 2005, approx 13.2hh.

 

 

Duchess is a quality young fell mare, owned by myself and her breeder Mrs Christine Robinson of Kerbeck Fell Pony Stud. I had to sell Duchess some time ago due to a change in circumstances, but Duchess is now happily ‘back in the fold’.  Duchess is a bold and friendly mare, and gets on well with other horses and ponies. She has been lightly shown with success, winning the Fell Pony Society Yearling points scheme back in 2006, and rarely comes home without a rosette when she has an outing.

It is hoped to try and breed from Duchess, and get her out to a few shows again. Eventually we will progress her ridden career as she was lightly backed by her previous owner Miss Tamsin Hughes. Duchess is Princess’ Grand Daughter and is descended from the Kerbeck Stud foundation mare, Townend Princess II.
